This double storey terrace house is positioned in a peaceful and private neighbourhood on 32 Flinton Street Paddington, Sydney.

 

Client Brief

The clients requested a coastal style retreat that releases a calming air flow inspired by the Hamptons. The client wanted to Set the tone with a predominantly white colour palette layered with neutrals in whites, greys, creams and beiges.

                  

Concept

To create a design where nature, house and garden are sensitively connected through carefully considered elements and refined colour palettes. Cane furniture pieces and soft neutral tones are used throughout the space to provide light and texture. Keeping an open plan in mind, the generously proportioned interior flows effortlessly from the open-plan living space to the outdoor courtyard.

Natural lighting illuminates the interiors through exposed bi-fold doors, generating a warm and positive atmosphere. The design fuses together architectural elements and habitable spaces creating a modern timeless extension to the house.

 

This double-storey terrace house renovation focuses on materials that create a timeless and inviting coastal home. Quality furnishings, cool tones and raw timbers are implemented throughout the space to reflect the feeling of a natural environment.
